Esstac KYWI mag carriers utilize a hybrid Kydex/nylon design to give you all the retention you expect from a Kydex carrier, with the support and minimalist attachment method you want from a nylon pouch. KYWI is short for Kydex Wedge Insert. This insert can be heated up and bent to adjust the grip it holds on your mags and then velcroed back into place. It attaches to MOLLE via MALICE Clips, keeping your pistol mag tucked close to your body, but still easily accessible.
Esstac will be phasing out the PALS webbing on the rear of KYWI pouches with laser cut Squadron PALS backers. During the transition, orders may contain pouches with webbing, the new laser cut backer, or a mix of both.

SPECS
- Fits most double-stack 9mm/.40 and 45 ACP magazines.
- 3.5″ tall.
- A Glock 19 magazine is the shortest magazine you would want to use in this pouch. Glock 26 magazines (and similar mags) are too short.

Will my 1911 or single stack magazine work in this pouch?
They will be somewhat loose— it would be best to pick up a mag pouch made specifically for single stack / 1911 mags. Esstac makes a number of options.
